Racing Simulator Chassis

  • Designed a Chassis for Racing Simulator in OnShape

  • All tubes are coped and drawn to 1.75”x.085” DOM spec

  • Designed “simple” for manufacturing constraints

  • Built at home using tube bender, notcher, and home-made plasma table

  • TIG Welded

Off-Grid Water Filtration Device

College Senior Project

  • Researched filtration methods and power usage

  • Designed System (SolidWorks for CAD, FEMAP for FEA, Ansys Fluent for flow sim)

  • Constructed System

  • Implemented pressure and flow rate data acquisition system utilizing Arduino and LabView

  • Tested for removal of various chemicals and minerals

 

Drum Brake System

Machine Design - Final Project

  • Designed a drum brake for a high-speed passenger elevator

  • Chose brake pad and drum materials to ensure a proper coefficient of friction and heat dissipation

  • Conducted Thermal and Force analysis to ensure the design met ASME elevator safety codes

Drag Cup Tachometer

  • Designed a drag cup tachometer using the principles of Eddie’s Currents

  • Uses Arduino, stepper motor, and stepper driver to give a known input rpm for system calibration

RC Flying Wing

  • Designed an RC Wing

  • Researched the effect of aspect ratio, aerofoils, and wing sweep angle on efficiency and flight characteristics

Tune Drone PID Controllers

  • Tune drone PID controllers using fundamentals of Dynamic System Controls

  • Use “black box” recordings to visualize and subsequently remove overshoot, drift, and other undesirable control attitudes
