All tubes are coped and drawn to 1.75”x.085” DOM spec
Designed “simple” for manufacturing constraints
Built at home using tube bender, notcher, and home-made plasma table

Researched filtration methods and power usage
Designed System (SolidWorks for CAD, FEMAP for FEA, Ansys Fluent for flow sim)

Implemented pressure and flow rate data acquisition system utilizing Arduino and LabView

Drum Brake System
Machine Design - Final Project
Designed a drum brake for a high-speed passenger elevator
Chose brake pad and drum materials to ensure a proper coefficient of friction and heat dissipation
Conducted Thermal and Force analysis to ensure the design met ASME elevator safety codes
Drag Cup Tachometer
Designed a drag cup tachometer using the principles of Eddie’s Currents
Uses Arduino, stepper motor, and stepper driver to give a known input rpm for system calibration
